Booking Policies

Thank you for taking the time to read our policies and for taking to learn about our OUR UNIQUE STYLE OF WORK

BY BOOKING AN APPOINTMENT WITH PERMETIKA, YOU ARE DECLARING THAT YOU HAVE READ, UNDERSTAND & AGREE WITH THE INFORMATION, POLICIES AND PROCEDURE STYLE AS PRESENTED THROUGHOUT THIS WEBSITE.  Please read over the following points thoroughly regarding our cancellations, appointment times, follow-up fees, planning for your procedure, aftercare, and proper healing. Your commitment to booking a procedure with us indicates that:

SICK?  SNIFFLES? CONTAGIOUS?  RUNNING A FEVER?  We will definitely need to postpone your appointment.

CANCELLATIONS, POSTPONING, NO SHOWS & LAST-MINUTE CHANGES TO YOUR APPOINTMENT:

  • You understand that by booking a procedure with Permetika, you are reserving a place on our calendar that no one else may take.

    • Because of this, you agree to keep your appointment or class time because you understand that it takes time and preparation to schedule your procedure.

  • IF YOU MUST CANCEL. booking fees are forfeited AT  50% due to the loss of income on our schedule, so please make sure you're seriously committed to the process, PRIOR to booking.

  • WE REQUIRE A ONE-WEEK NOTICE TO POSTPONE YOUR APPOINTMENT WITHOUT PENALTY:

  • If you cancel or no-show again at the last minute, your booking fee will be forfeited and you will need to set a NEW appointment online and pay a NEW booking fee.

    • Last minute cancellations leaves holes in our day that are close to impossible to fill, which results in lost revenue for the day, that cannot be replaced.

    • However, in the event of inclement weather, death in the family, or another disaster, we will work with you to postpone the appointment to a later date.

You understand and are committed to our philosophy of LESS IS BEST TO START!

  • By booking with us, you also agree, that a conservative approach is the safest way to go.
  • OUR PROCESSES ARE CONSERVATIVE TO START BECAUSE DIFFERENT PEOPLE RETAIN VARYING AMOUNTS OF PIGMENT AND OUR LESS IS BEST APPROACH IS DESIGNED TO HELP AVOID POTENTIAL MISHAPS.

    • MOST permanent makeup artists are trained to apply 30-50% extra color in anticipation of color loss that inevitably happens throughout the healing process, you can see why some people end up with disastrous results.

    • Each person is different.

    • Each artist has a different touch.

    • Therefore, SOME clients tend to hold more color than others.

    • Since there is no way to accurately predict the exact outcome - from client to client, we opt to perform conservatively!

    • So on the day of application, we take the procedure just to the point of BEAUTIFUL, (which technically, will most likely heal in too light for some people!)

    • This way, you can walk out looking great - and adjust what doesn't stay - on subsequent visits!

    • FOR OPTIMAL RESULTS... help prepare your skin for the procedure by taking ARNICA MONTANA PRIOR TO YOUR APPOINTMENT.

    • Read the links on this page (and/or) in the footer section of this website for more detailed information like how to know if you're a GOOD CANDIDATE.

    • Learn how to PLAN AHEADPRE-PROCEDURE CHECK LIST, and what to do for AFTERCARE.

  • This strategy was designed to help protect your face and our reputation. Remember... Your skin is a biological system that is designed to rid itself of foreign matter. We are putting foreign matter in the form of "art" into your "skin", so your body is going to do its best to take it out.

  •
  • You understand that you should not schedule important events on the same day as your procedure.

  • YOU ALSO AGREE THAT YOU HAVE NO OTHER QUESTIONS ABOUT THE PROCEDURE YOU ARE ASKING FOR.

DURING COVID, we will do everything possible to reset your appointment with no penalty should you become ill.

  • If you are able to come within a week or two (once better) we try to reset with no penalty as a courtesy to you.

  • If you are on antibiotics, you should postpone your appointment for a couple of weeks to allow the medication to leave your system.  Otherwise,  there is a possibility that the treatment will not heal with optimal results. The medication is fighting to rid your body of a bug... and it may see the pigment as a potential threat, even though it's not.

  • YOU UNDERSTAND & AGREE THAT OUR WORK IS NOT CONSIDERED COMPLETE UNTIL SUBSEQUENT SESSIONS ARE BOOKED TO MAKE THE NECESSARY ADJUSTMENTS & YOU ARE WILLING TO RETURN FOR SUBSEQUENT FOLLOW-UP SESSIONS TO COMPLETE THE WORK:

  • FOLLOW-UP SESSIONS ARE OFTEN REQUIRED TO PERFECT THE WORK.

  • FOLLOW-UP SESSIONS ARE NOT FREE. PRICES CAN BE FOUND ON OUR MENU PAGE.

APPOINTMENT TIMES

  • PLEASE DO NOT ARRIVE EARLY! Appointments are set for a normal allotted amount of time, which includes setup, paperwork and sufficient numbing time.

  • Since we book by appointment only, we may not arrive earlier than your appointment start time.

  • We understand this is your face  - and we want things to be as perfect as you do. So we will allow an extra grace period of one half hour over your allotted time.

    • This allows for perfecting to each client's specifications.

    • If the appointment runs longer than one hour, the appointment may be called to an end if the skin is too saturated to continue.

    • Further adjustments should be minimal and will be handled during your follow-up visit.

    • However, if time does allow us to continue, extra time will be billed at $250 per hour.

  • While we try to start and stop on time,, afternoon appointments may run late.  We do respect your time and we know it's frustrating to have to wait. However, we cannot fully anticipate, nor guarantee, when the procedure prior to yours will be finished.

  • there will be instances when a procedure or client requires more time than originally planned.

  • Adjustments to our work cannot be performed for another 8-12 weeks, so we must do what we can to complete the job, even if we are running behind.

  • But don't worry, you will receive the same great treatment when it's your turn in the chair!

ADJUSTMENTS ARE TO BE MADE DURING SUBSEQUENT SESSIONS UNTIL YOUR DESIRED RESULTS HAVE BEEN ACHIEVED.

  • We typically perform a very conservative application.

  • One downside to a conservative approach is that color may not stay as it was applied.

    • Your initial results could be spot on if you retain a lot of pigment.

    • Or, you could end up with strokes that are far to light for people who shed a lot of pigment.

    • Some strokes could even heal as dots or appear incomplete.

    • The MAJORITY of people, fall somewhere in the middle between too light and too dark but still need some finishing touches.

      • Even at this stage, people report that this is the best thing they've ever done for themselves because they at least they now have a guide to follow that saves a lot of valuable time in constructing their brows every single day.

      • It also alleviates the fear of losing your makeup throughout the day.

      • We feel this is better and more workable than the color healing in too dark. (who wants SUPER-HERO BROWS?)

      • Also, your body may take longer to heal than another person, which increases the chance of even more color loss or damage to the area from accidental scratches, friction while sleeping, etc.

YOU ARE AWARE THAT FOLLOW-UP WORK IS NOT FREE.

  • YOU HAVE NO OTHER QUESTIONS REGARDING THE PROCEDURE(S) YOU ARE REQUESTING.

  • YOU HAVE READ,  UNDERSTOOD & AGREE WITH OUR BOOKING POLICIES

  • YOU HAVE READ THE PAGE CALLED REALISTIC EXPECTATIONS.

  • YOU ARE DECLARING THAT YOU HAVE READ, UNDERSTAND, AND HAVE NO OTHER QUESTIONS REGARDING THE INFORMATION IN THE LINKS IN THE FOOTER BELOW.
  •  IF YOU HAVE ALREADY BOOKED YOUR PROCEDURE.

  • YOU HAVE OR WILL SUBMIT YOUR CLIENT DATA, MEDICAL HISTORY, AND HEALTH DECLARATION FORMS prior to the day of your appointment.

  • YOU AGREE  WITH OUR "LESS IS BEST" CONCEPT  AND ARE WILLING TO RETURN FOR SUBSEQUENT FOLLOW-UP SESSIONS TO COMPLETE THE WORK. Please remember this...  Your skin is a biological system that is designed to rid itself of foreign matter.  We are applying a foreign matter, in the form of "art", into your "skin", Your body' job is to do its best to remove it.

  • HELP PREPARE YOUR SKIN FOR THE PROCEDURE BY TAKING ARNICA MONTANA PRIOR TO YOUR APPOINTMENT.

  • Please remember that following our guidelines does not guarantee 100% success.

    • Bottom line... your own body has the final word on how much color with stay and how true the color heals. However, there are things we can do to help encourage MARGINALLY better color retention. Every client will have a different outcome. Just remember that shape and color can be adjusted on subsequent sessions AFTER we see how the initial session has healed in. Then we will be able to tell what color and shape adjustments to make later.

BOOKING FEES, NO-SHOWS & LAST-MINUTE CHANGES

A NON-REFUNDABLE BOOKING FEE of 50% is collected at the time of booking to reserve your spot on our calendar. This fee is required to help clients remember the importance of their appointment as all procedures & classes here do require advance preparation time.

WHY DO WE REQUIRE A 50% BOOKING FEE?

Please remember, no one else can book your spot and if you cancel, we can't easily fill it. Clients need time to prepare. So we rely on your commitment to keeping things flowing smoothly. If you cancel at the last minute, we have no way of filling your spot or making up for lost revenue.  So we split the loss 50/50.

  • If you are contagious or running a fever you will need to postpone your appointment.

  • DURING COVID, we will do everything possible to reset your appointment with no penalty should you become ill or encounter an UNAVOIDABLE conflict in your schedule.  If you are able to come within the week or two, we try to will reset with no penalty as a courtesy to you. However, if you cancel or no show again, you will need to set a NEW  appointment online and pay a NEW booking fee.

  • Appointments are set for a normal allotted amount of time. We allow appointments to run one hour over the allotted time because we understand this is your face  - and we want things to be as perfect as you do. However, if the appointment runs longer than one hour over the appointment will be called to an end. If time allows, extra time beyond will be billed at an additional $250 per hour.

WE UNDERSTAND THAT TRUE emergencies do arise, SO IF YOU CAN SUBMIT PROOF OF A LIFE ALTERING EVENT OR EXTREME ILLNESS,  YOUR BOOKING FEE WILL NOT BE FORFEITED AND WE WILL BE HAPPY TO WORK WITH YOU!

Should an extreme emergency arise, the booking fee is still non-refundable, but the appointment date is transferrable if scheduled within a week or two.

About our booking System:

YOU MAY BOOK HERE, or make a note of this shortcut for future use:  Vagaro.com/Permetika

We think the system is pretty seamless, but if you encounter any challenges, please let us know by leaving a message on the CONTACT US BUTTON. Screenshots are particularly helpful in troubleshooting issues.

APPOINTMENTS & CLASSES:

  • APPOINTMENTS SHOULD BE BOOKED ON-LINE BY THE CLIENT or STUDENT.  This automated system ensures that bookings are created according to your schedule and there are no mistakes on our end.

WHEN CHOOSING A PROCEDURE

You do NOT have to predetermine which style of work you need. When you arrive, we will start the paperwork and the numbing process. Approximately 30 minutes later we will discuss your options and your input will also be taken into consideration. Once we reach a decision, the procedure will begin.

RESCHEDULING:

  • Appointments may be transferred to a new date.

  • A five (5) day notice is required to allow time to prepare for the person filling your spot

  • You may change your appointment as often as you need to without informing our office.

  • Do this by searching your email for your last appointment notification. There you will find a link to reset your appointment. As always, if you need help, please contact us through our website messaging system.

  • Booking any cosmetic procedure should NOT be taken lightly. All procedures require thought and planning because it is more invasive than a normal cosmetic procedure like hair, nails or lashes.

  • We strongly encourage you to read over the informational links in the footer section of this website. We want you to be sure that you are a candidate for the services we offer and understand our process.

  • We look forward to working with people who understand and agree with our LESS IS MORE approach. This means less work is done upfront to give us the opportunity to evaluate how things settle in on a small scale, then build toward your desired result over a period of a few months in subsequent perfecting sessions.

  • So don't be surprised if your work is too light. This is the case for most people... This means almost no one is left with work that is too dark.  Doing this allows us to get "closer to perfection" without crossing that line of regret!  And please realize, that while YOU ARE IN GREAT HANDS HERE, absolute perfection does not exist. There will always be something to work on. You just have to be realistic about your expectations and choose not to be radical in your idea of perfection. Working in SKIN can be problematic at times, and your patience is required in order to achieve optimal (not perfect) results.
