DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES

PLEASE REFER TO MENU FOR CURRENT PRICING - THANKS!

Just a head's up...  Names of procedures and their descriptions (much like art) are subject to interpretation!

Many artists will create new phrases (for the same style of work) in order to stand out from the competition - which can be confusing to clients. For example . . .  Traditional tattoo artists may call one particular technique WHIPSHADING, PEPPERING, or STIPPLING while Cosmetic Tattoo Artists may call the same technique OMBRE, POWDER BROWS or DUSTING... etc.

WHEN CHOOSING THE PARTICULAR STYLES, DON'T GET HUNG UP ON THE TITLES...

We understand the language, so you don't have to. Simply choose any style that seems nice to you and leave the rest to us! We can change the style later. Please be assured, that we will know what's best for your skin type and lifestyle. We know that there are a lot of style choices, but we just like eyebrows to look - like eyebrows. Natural, classic and as realistic looking as possible.

With all that in mind, please SEE THE VARIOUS DESIGNS BELOW:

 * MicroBlading

Microblading is a tattoo technique that uses a hand tool rather than a machine to create detailed hair strokes that look like natural eyebrows. We apply just enough strokes to improve shape and density. We operate on a layering process, where we build into your desired results over a period of 1-3 sessions to prevent over-processing! This technique is applied slightly more superficially than the more traditional methods so be prepared for follow-up sessions. Microblading can be expected to last between 6 months to a few years, once follow-up sessions have reached your desired goals. Longevity depends on individual skin type, how well the aftercare is attended to, and lifestyle choices. Healed results are as unique as each client’s skin type.

 * Ombré Brows or Powder Brows

Ombré & Powder brows both produce an almost transparent, super soft powdery brow. Ombre style creates a look that is a bit more trendy where it is softer toward the front and top of the brow, and darker at the base and tail. Powder brows basically enhance your own brows by creating a shadow of color to enhance the shape and density.  This technique actually holds the perimeter shape of the brow better than Microblading and is a great fit for all skin types. The application also fits any personality as the technique can be adjusted from super subtle to more defined and bold. This technique is done using a cosmetic tattoo device with a single-use cartridge. The pigment is also applied to the more superficial layers of the skin and can last up to a few years depending on individual skin type and lifestyle.

 * Nano Brows or Hair Stroke Brows by Machine

Ultra-fine tattoo needles embed hair strokes just beneath the skin's surface. This work resembles MicroBlading and it is actually a bit more gentle on the skin. This ultra-fine needlework is perfect for creating the look of individual fine hair strokes to build the illusion of fuller, more defined, and shapely brows. And if you're looking for a long-lasting procedure, this technique is a great alternative to Microblading as it can last between1-5 years once follow-up sessions have reached your desired goals! This too is dependent upon individual skin type and lifestyle.

 * Combo Brows  (Connie's Favorite!)

Let's get CREATIVE by combining techniques of Microblading & Ombré or Powder shading. This style creates beautiful dimension and more density than Microblading or Nano Brows alone. The additional shading creates results that are beautiful and can be expected to last 1-3 years depending on individual skin and lifestyle.

EYELINER GALLERY

Soft Lash Enhancement (upper and lower lids)

Natural Eyeliner w/ Makeup Effect Shadowing

Volume Eyeliner (Typically upper lids only)

LIPS    Important:

  •  FOR ALL LIP PROCEDURES:  IF YOU ARE PRONE TO FEVER BLISTERS (even of you have only had ONE in the past) you will need an antiviral prescription from your doctor before a lip procedure. Follow your Physician's dosage instructions and take half of the prescribed medication in the days prior to your appointment and the other half in the days following your appointment.

  • Lips typically require 2-4+ sessions in order to achieve the amount of color desired. This is because of the extra moisture around the mouth as well as the extra movement required to talk, eat, drink, etc.

  • Pigment may wear off over time, which normally requires a color boost every couple of years.

Pale Lip Blush

Who wouldn’t want healthy blush of color or possibly more on your lips? After all, permanent lip color doesn't transfer to your teeth, wine glass, or your partner's collar! Color no longer bleeds and your lips stay pretty during dinner. All you need is a bit of gloss to moisturize them and make them pop!  Be confident that your lips will always be on point.

Full Lip Color

Color can be applied in either a natural hue or a more vivid one and you can always adjust by applying different shades of lipstick over your permanent lip color. Medical Grade topical anesthetics are used to help reduce discomfort during treatments. If by chance you need more numbing than most people, you can arrange for our Nurse Practitioner to administer local injections of Lidocaine.

Corrective Color requires consultation as some skin may result in excessive hyperpigmentation.

  • Please send photos to 713-443-8999 for assessment.

Beauty Marks . . . .

(Complimentary with any cosmetic tattoo procedure)

Freckles? We think they are cute too, but as fake freckles fade over time, they could take on an unnatural hue and could become problematic to correct. For this reason, we JUST SAY NO to fake freckles.

FUTURE MAINTENANCE

Before you step into the world of cosmetic tattooing, you will have to realize that future maintenance will be required to keep things looking fresh.  Think about the paint on your home, car, or boat. It has a limited life span - so does your permanent makeup. Once the initial phase and at least 1-2 follow-up sessions have been completed, you should plan to return every 1-3 years to renew the work.  How often you will need to return greatly depends on your own level of satisfaction. What is enough for one person is not enough for another.

PERMANENT vs SEMI-PERMANENT

We prefer the term COSMETIC TATTOOING over "permanent" makeup, or "semi" permanent makeup because neither of the two latter terms is accurate.  It's called Permanent" because it cannot be washed off, but it does not remain stable forever. Some of the culprits of fading include exposure to sunlight, chlorine, saltwater, etc, and chemicals such as those found in skincare products like Retin-A, glycolic acids, alpha-hydroxy acids, etc.

The newer generation of artists call it "SEMI-PERMANENT" and may say that it fades in 18 months. However, permanent makeup pigment does not have an expiration timer on it so there is no truth in saying that.  Its staying power depends on how deep the artist applies it.  Some artists have a very light touch while others cut like they are dicing steak.  It also depends on the client's lifestyle and personal habits.

AND BTW... Our body chemistry, metabolism, biological & hormonal changes all play a role in the erosion of the permanent makeup color over time. For these reasons, color refreshment will ultimately become necessary.

CORRECTIVE PROCEDURES INFORMATION

Brows, Eyes, Lips, Scars & Stretchmarks - Call for a consultation. Be prepared to send (clear) photos of the area where corrections are desired.

EMERGENCY REMOVAL OF BAD PERMANENT MAKEUP

If you're unhappy with your NEW PMU due to shape, asymmetry, thickness, etc. we may be able to help! But you have to hurry! REMOVAL MUST BE STARTED WITHIN 12-24 HOURS OF THE BOTCHED PERMANENT MAKEUP PROCEDURE!

  • Emergency removal is not necessary if color is the only problem. As long as the shape is good, color correction can help make things look better!

  • If you are scared on day two of your healing process, you may just need to be patient. Most all new permanent cosmetics appear too dark and scary at first due to pigment oxidation and inflammation. The color will significantly lighten during the healing process as the excess color flakes off & inflammation diminishes.

  • If I am unable to perform corrective services, I will refer you to a laser specialist.

Scars & Stretchmarks - Color Camouflage

LIGHT SCARS & STRETMARKS are treated by stippling in various shades of color to help minimize the appearance of scars that are LIGHTER than the surrounding skin.

DARK scars, stretch marks, or birthmarks that are purple, red, or brown should NOT be color corrected with a lighter shade pigment due to the instability of the pigment and how the color changes over time.

Scars & Stretchmarks - Texture & Resurfacing

This procedure will attempt to remodel the skin to smooth out scars and stretchmarks.  DARK stretchmarks that are purple, red, or brown should be allowed to heal to a lighter shade before reworking the skin and should not be color corrected with a lighter shade pigment due to the instability of the pigment and how the color changes over time.

If we are unable to perform services, I will refer you to a laser specialist.

Why do Traditional tattoos last longer than PMU?

Body art is performed with more concentrated pigments and applied deeper into the skin TO MAKE IT LAST A LIFETIME.  NOT a great plan for PMU. Pigment in the face is constantly exposed to the sun and the tissue has an extra blood supply which metabolizes the pigment at a much more accelerated rate.  These factors cause the colors to change over time. At some point, you may begin to notice that the gold tones within the eyebrow pigments are vanishing first. This is the normal course of color degradation and what was once brown, may fade to a lighter brown or it may fade gray. NO WORRIES!  Now we just need to add some warmer tones back in the mix to freshen things up a bit.

If you schedule Permanent Cosmetics with anyone other than Connie:

  • Always request a consultation and ask to view photos of the Artist's work PRIOR to booking an appointment to make sure your style aligns with your artist of choice. JUST BECAUSE A PERSON IS TRAINED BY CONNIE DOES NOT MEAN THEIR STYLE MATCHES HERS. It takes years to master this craft and all results will vary from person to person.

  • Please remember that artistic styles differ and skill levels will vary from artist to artist, so make sure that you meet with your preferred artist either by phone or by consultation to make sure you have an opportunity to connect and view their before and after pics. It's very important that you like their style of work.

  • In addition to that, various SKIN types may also present a variety of different tones and textures that may be a challenge to less experienced artists. For these reasons, our team knows that they can call Connie for help at any time.

  • Please remember... We perform more on a conservative level since THERE IS NO WAY TO GUARANTEE HOW YOUR SKIN WILL HOLD COLOR. Therefore, MULTIPLE SESSIONS may be required to reach your desired level of color.

  • FOLLOW-UP SESSIONS should be made with the same artist if possible but can be booked with another PERMETIKA ARTIST if your original artist is not available.

RESCHEDULING

We truly appreciate your understanding when it comes to rescheduling. Life happens, and plans change - but last-minute cancellations can really throw off our schedule.

Please note: booking fees are non-refundable. They secure your time slot and cover supplies for your procedure.

If you need to postpone an appointment within 5 days of the cancellation deadline, a $100 fee will apply. Each additional missed appointment increases the reschedule fee by another $100.

1st Reschedule

No Questions, No Charge

Life happens, we get it - no problem!
To qualify for zero penalty, your appointment must be rescheduled to one of our next three available spots.

Simply open your latest confirmation email from Permetika, click the link to reschedule, and make the change within one week. Easy!

2nd Reschedule - $100

Another curveball? It happens!

If you break the 5-day notice rule at this stage, the system won’t let you reschedule online - so just reach out to us directly. We’ll gladly help you find a new time.

Can’t make it at all? You’re welcome to transfer your appointment to someone else. Flexibility is key, and we’ll do our best to accommodate.

3rd Reschedule - $300

Yep, life’s a rollercoaster and we’re along for the ride. But if reschedules keep stacking up and our calendar starts looking like a ghost town, we have to charge something to cover lost time.

From here, each additional reschedule increases by $100.

Last-Minute Reschedules

Need to cancel inside the 5-day window? Our system will give you the cold shoulder, but don’t worry - just reach out directly and we’ll sort it out together.

And if you truly can’t make it - feel free to gift or transfer your appointment to a friend. Sharing is caring!

✨ Thanks for being awesome, flexible, and understanding as we work together to keep our schedule balanced.

We couldn’t do this without you!

❌  What to START/STOP  - Prior to a Procedure

  • ALL PROCEDURES:

    • Start taking ARNICA MONTANA before your procedure to help reduce the effects of possible bruising, swelling, bleeding or inflammation which ALL make procedures more difficult to perform and reduce optimal results. Best to start a week or more before any cosmetic procedure but super helpful to continue taking during the healing phase.

  • BROWS and EYELINER:

    • Discontinue use of any growth serums for at least a month prior to session.

  • EYES: REMOVE LASH EXTENSIONS:

    • at least 3-4 days prior to your procedure. This helps to minimize any extra sensitivity during the treatment. Rubbing the delicate skin of the eyelids can cause micro abrasions, which may lead to increased discomfort. Ensure to follow this guideline for a more pleasant experience.

  • EYES: REMOVE CONTACT LENSES:

    • Bring your glasses to the appointment so you can see to drive home. For best results, do not reapply lenses until fully healed.

  • LIPS: COLD SORES or FEVER BLISTERS?

    • Lips may break out if you don't prepare in advance! Ask your doctor for a prescription for an anti-viral medication to help minimize the risk. Take prior to, during and following your lip procedure. Taking 1,000 mg of Lysine per day also helps, but for best results, ask your doctor.

GENERAL INFORMATION

🧪Permanent vs. Semi-Permanent?

Some people call it PERMANENT MAKEUP.  (Sometimes we still do -  Old Habits Die Hard.)

But we PREFER the terms Micropigmentation or Cosmetic Tattooing because:

  • It won’t wash off, but it will fade over time. Results change with skin type, metabolism, skincare, sun exposure, and age.

  • Refresh sessions are necessary over time to maintain color and shape.

  • Body tattoos last longer because they’re deeper and (usually) less exposed to UV light...

  • The LASTING LONGER LASING PART - wouldn’t look good on your face!  I'd much rather your brows fade OFF - than to fade UGLY.

🔁 Thoughts on Maintenance

Your face is your canvas.  Treat it with care!

Plan to return every 1–3 years for refreshers. Color fades, tones shift, and you change too. Think of it like repainting a house... you do it o keep things looking great, not because the first job was bad.
