YOU'LL WANT TO LEARN ALL YOU CAN ABOUT HOW TO PLAN FOR AND TAKE CARE OF YOUR NEW PROCEDURE!
Owner & Artist Since 2002
Since we start with a Conservative Approach to protect you... Multiple Perfecting Sessions are to be expected.
Do you know who is MOST appreciative of this process? THE MINORITY... The people who hold a lot of color are a very small percentage of the population. Most people will will be very happy that we didn't apply too much color in anticipation of it fading too much because (Almost) no one wants SUPER HERO BROWS. And since we never know, prior to the application WHO will HOLD the color, we have to play it safe on EVERY CLIENT. Even though they are the extreme minority of all the clients, they are still important - and you never know WHO will fall into this category. It could be YOU!
Followup sessions should be spaced at least 2 -3 months apart... preferably 3 to make sure the skin has reached its final healed stage. Occasionally, more or less work will be needed and will depend on a multitude of variables.
OUR MAIN GOAL FOR YOUR COSMETIC TATTOOING IS TO HELP MAKE YOUR LIFE EASIER. It is not normally enough to completely replace your regular makeup routine. If we get you 60-85% there, then you will never have to start your day AT ZERO. Why not reach for 100%? We COULD, but that mean you're going to have to make sure your other makeup is always ON so that the brows don't overpower your natural beauty!
New clients must schedule an initial session. Follow up Sessions are only offered to clients who’s work was previously done in our studio.
All appointments require a NON REFUNDABLE booking fee to reserve your spot on our calendar. We are serious about helping you, please be respectful of our time as well.
There are a variety of possible outcomes...
Applications are as varied as the number of clients who want Cosmetic Tattooing. What may be "just enough" for one person, may be barely noticeable to another. The same principle applies to the perception of flaws.
When deciding if you like your new PMU, just try to keep in mind a few simple tips. Most of the time, you have to use the same principles as when you are checking your own makeup application:
LESS IS BEST for now. Add more later...
NO ONE sees the flaws that you see in your 20x magnification mirror.
YOU WON'T SEE what WE SEE if you use a 20x magnification mirror to apply your brows.
Save that mirror for your lashes or lipstick.
ALWAYS double check yourself from a distance in a REGULAR MIRROR or take a quick picture to make sure that you have not applied too much makeup. Too little is always better than too much!
We know, that every client is in search of a GRAND PERFORMANCE! And you SHOULD! This is your FACE!
It's important to understand, in advance, that artistic skill is unique to each artist. This means every artist will have their own style of work. And that style has to mesh with the expectations of the client... who, by the way, ARE ALL DIFFERENT TOO. So we take on a HUGE RESPONSIBILITY to identify the particular needs of every client and execute to the highest level possible.
The next level of concerns is this... This ART has to be placed in your SKIN! Skin that is in constant motion. Skin that is affected by the foods you eat, the medications you take as well as trying to blend in with your own metabolism in a microscopic environment that may (or may not) notice the foreign substance (our Art). If you have a very strong immune system or if your immune system is in a heightened state, it will start fighting to remove what we just put in.
Then there are the various levels of self care going on. Some people follow all the rules while others will break out the peroxide to scrub out their new color. DO DO THAT! Most likely, what you're seeing is inflammation more than color! So... If you move into freak out mode, just remember how it looked when it was first done. Take a breath... calm down... let it heal... and we will take the next steps at your followup session. IF YOU CANNOT CALM DOWN, CALL US instead of doing something you'll regret later... like trying to scrub it off. This will just smear the color and destroy your skin. So please, don't do that. : )
