PERMETIKA APPRENTICE

Sloane has been shadowing Connie  since April of 2017.

Sloane studied Fashion Merchandising and Interior Design where she was required to sketch out designs, including facial features. Her love for beauty and unshakable desire to help empower women led her  here!

Since starting at Permetika, her creativity and artistry have both developed at an amazing rate! Couple that with the care that she has for people, and we know that she will do a fantastic job with clients and become a valuable member of our team!

BY BOOKING ANY ARTIST . . .  CLIENTS MUST UNDERSTAND AND AGREE TO THE FOLLOWING TERMS SHOWN BELOW:

APPRENTICES ARE STUDENTS WHO ARE INTERESTED IN PURSUING ON-GOING TRAINING IN A WELL ESTABLISHED PROFESSIONAL ENVIRONMENT.

They are closely monitored by Connie or another seasoned artist here at Permetika in order to further instill good work habits and greater artistic expression. We watch many things including proper stretch to get the best retention of color as well as proper depth and prevention of over working the skin. There is a huge emphasis placed on the prevention of cross contamination! We monitor student's habits when setting up, breaking down, and just general behavior within the establishment with the intention of ensuring that each student becomes mindful of the measures necessary for health and safety purposes.

  • CLIENTS MUST EXPECT SOME INCONSISTENCIES IN THE OUTCOME as students have not had sufficient time to experience consistent muscle memory.  Some strokes may be too dark, while other strokes may completely vanish.

  • This can also be the case with ANY artist, as art is being placed into client's SKIN. Skin is a breathing, moving organism which will also dictate what it will keep, or reject. Clients' habits may also be a factor in GREAT or POOR retention, so be sure to read the PLAN AHEAD and the AFTER CARE pages at least 2 weeks prior to your appointment date!

  • STUDENTS/APPRENTICES ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE MAJORITY OF THE WORK, including:

    • Consultations

    • Greeting & Hosting Clients

    • Set up, break down, and sanitization

    • Time in the skin, with close supervision.

    • Client Check Out

    • Client Followup & Answer Questions

    • Future Appointments

  • YOUR FOLLOWUP APPOINTMENTS must be booked with the student or apprentice who originally performed the initial procedure. This is required in order for the student to see how the work healed in YOUR skin and to have the opportunity to adjust the results of their work. Mild to moderate adjustments are normal and necessary.

  • IF YOU OPT TO CHANGE ARTISTS when the original artist is still available, you must book a NEW appointment and pay the NEW fee.  No hard feelings.  We understand that a connection is necessary for the client to be happy!

  • PLEASE REMEMBER...  ART is subjective to personal interpretation. Student work at Permetika will be closely monitored for artistic quality, but perfection cannot be guaranteed. Clients and Students must be willing to expect more follow-ups as students are just learning and may not have yet acquired the muscle memory to reach the correct depth.

Please do your own research (by interviewing different artists)  to find out which one is the best fit, for you!

**Eyebrow Procedures:**
Alright, you brow enthusiasts... We recommend hitting the pause button on Latisse and other brow serums for at least a month before your treatment. And let’s be honest—there's absolutely no need to stress about shaping your brows beforehand. We love them just as they are, wild and free, so come as you are! After all, that helps us show off our best work!

**Eyeliner Procedures:**
And before you get your eyeliner game on, we kindly ask that you say goodbye to those lash growth serums for about a month. And those fabulous lash extensions? Try to have them removed about a week or so prior to your appointment. This little break gives your eyelids a chance to relax and get ready the tattooing magic!

**Lip Procedures:** Now, if you happen to battle cold sores or fever blisters, we’ve got a little homework for you! Please make sure to grab your doctor and get prescription for an antiviral medication before you dive into that lip tattoo adventure. Most clients find that they need 2-3 sessions to really lock in that gorgeous color (thanks to all that lip action).

**Pre-Medication:** Finally, a friendly reminder for all you wellness warriors out there: if you ever need to take antibiotics before routine dental work or any other medical procedure, you’re going to want to do the same for this beauty treatment. It’s all about keeping things safe and sound!

  • NEVER DISCONTINUE ANY MEDICATIONS THAT HAVE BEEN PRESCRIBED BY YOUR DOCTOR WITHOUT CONSULTING WITH YOUR DOCTOR, FIRST!

  • ABOUT LIP PROCEDURES:
    • If you are prone to Cold Sores or Fever Blisters, you must obtain a prescription for an anti-viral prescription prior to a lip tattoo.
    • Lips may saturate well on the first session, however MOST people need 2-3 sessions, sometimes more, to retain the amount of color desired. The reason is lips are very ACTIVE. Lots of licking, wiping, talking... it's a wonder that ANY color stays.
    • PRE-MEDICATION? If you have to take antibiotics prior to routine dental work, OR ANY OTHER MEDICAL PROCEDURE, you'll need to do the same for our treatments.
    • Know when to start and stop taking certain foods and supplements.
