WHO DO YOU TRUST?

There are so many trainers to choose from - So look before you leap!  Do your homework to make sure that your future trainer has invested many YEARS to become a well rounded artist with a stellar reputation before electing to become a trainer.  On top of that, find the artist who most exhibits the style of work you most prefer. If you prefer a more stenciled trendy look, find that class. If you prefer a softer, more natural look, come here!

Microblading Training and Permanent Makeup training is NOT for everyone.

There may be a few exceptional artists that emerge and thrive during this current frenzy of new artists . . . while others will allow the frustrations and setbacks to cause them to eventually fade away. So you need to look inside and see what you're made of... because this line of work takes lots of PRACTICE, HARD WORK which takes a lot of TIME. Huge Talent is rarely an overnight sensation.

Who to trust? There are so many trainers to choose from - So HOW does the unsuspecting person know where to turn? Simple... Do your homework. Find the ones who have a stellar reputation, with well over 5-10 years of experience under their belts before investing your money into training.

Who to AVOID? Look before you leap!

Don't get swept away by this Modern Day Gold Rush where you see trainers (who bypassed the years of experience needed to become a well rounded trainer) who hijacked the gravy train and hit the trail like the wild, wild, west!  These are the ones enticing anyone and everyone with the riches you can gain, with no regard to the level of talent required to actually perform exceptional work.

You can do the math...

There is no doubt that this field CAN lead you into a more secure financial future, but you need to realize that you must possess artistic talent and the love for people, the patience of JOB to deal with the difficult ones... and tons of INTEGRITY to keep things on the right track and actually make it in this field.

I'm not one to fill people with empty hopes and promises, so I'm not going after every one with a pulse... but I am eager to help coach those who are willing to put forth sheer effort into an amazing career.

If you truly feel that you may have a calling for this type of work, we want to be here to guide you in the right direction! The talented ones  will experience a ton of joy and unmeasurable gratification when you change someone's world - for the better.

Learn to Apply:

Eyebrow Simulation

Create an eyebrow to look totally natural. Remember, the eyebrows frame your face and are the most important part of expression and appearance. Your eyebrows can make you look happy, sad, or even angry. So learning the proper placement and shape is very important. This class focuses primarily on the hair stroke technique, which most resembles a natural eyebrow.

Eyeliner and Lash Enhancement

Learn to create eyeliner that will give your client a more youthful appearance. Correctly applied, eyeliner will add symmetry and a lifted look to your client.

Blended Lip liner

Redefining the vermilion border of your client’s lips is the easiest way to help your client look and feel younger. Learn the proper techniques for a soft, natural and more defined lip line with color blending into the lip.

Attend seven (7) full days of Instruction. Maximum class size is only 3 students.
Our beginning classes are seven full days at the academy and 35 hours of home study prior to class date. There will never be more than 3 students in each class; this will insure you of one-on-one personal attention. Each student will have a minimum of six (6) model procedures. All model procedures are supervised by an instructor. NO student will be left alone. This is an intensive training program designed to prepare students to begin their career in permanent cosmetics.

Beginning classes usually run from Tuesday to Friday, break for the weekend, then reconvene on Monday and finish that Wednesday. Class times are 9:00am – 7:00pm.

HAVE YOU HEARD OF PATREON? My concept was born when my son was telling me about Patreon.com.

Here's a brief explanation of how it works and how it is making a huge difference in some artist' lives...

"Making art is hard enough, let alone trying to make living off it.  Even artists who have gallery representation usually do not make enough to sustain much of an income. Most artists rely on a day job for support.

This is where services like Patreon come in. Founded in 2013, Patreon is an online platform designed to help creators get paid for making art. Currently used by about 100,000 creators, Patreon operates on a similar concept to Kickstarter...

But instead of supporting a specific project by an artist, you directly support the artist. Ideally, the service functions similarly to the free room and board offered by royal patrons of centuries past, paying for the necessities of life so that artists are free to focus on their art.

IF YOU HAVE ANY OF THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS OR SITUATIONS, UNFORTUNATELY YOU ARE NOT A GOOD CANDIDATE TO BE A MODEL:

  • Recently Tanned or Consistant Tanning

  • Previous Permanent Makeup  - Ok if mostly faded (send pics)

  • Oily Skin on Brow Area (ok for Ombré techniques)

  • Blemishes on or around the immediate area

  • Diagnosed or Undiagnosed Skin Conditions

  • Rosacea

  • Pregnant

  • Nursing a Baby

  • Alopecia

  • Auto Immune Discorders such as Thyroid Disorders can affect how the color heals in and also retention.

  • Currently on any type of Cancer Treatment:

    • Chemotherapy

    • Radiation Treatments

    • Any Cancer Medications

  • UNREALISTIC EXPECTATIONS!

    • Please remember, if you sign up as a model you will be working with technicians who are under close supervision, however they are LEARNING new techniques, therefore specific healed results cannot be entirely predicted.

HUNGRY FOR TRAINING?

Do you just want the ABC's of Microblading . . .

or do you want the whole alphabet?

If you plan on receiving a procedure in class, please READ PAGES 1- 12 at Permetika.com.  IF YOU ARE UNDER A DOCTOR'S CARE, PLEASE LET US KNOW IN ADVANCE. For example, if you've had any joint replacements you will need to pre-medicate with the same antibiotic that you would take when having a dental procedure.

Be sure to start taking ARNICA MONTANA approximately 2 weeks prior to class and eat lots of green, leafy vegetables to strengthen your system. For best results, please avoid stimulants and blood thinners such as aspirin, alcohol or caffeine and no strenuous exercise for a couple of days prior to (and following) your procedure.

Remember, we require a weeks notice of cancellation, no matter what. This keeps our schedule flowing. If you don't give adequate notice or if you no show to your appointment, your booking fee will be forfeited and a new one will be required when booking a new appointment. We appreciate you for understanding!

Be your own advocate... Check credentials...

Would you take a class from someone who barely passed, never even attended school or was not an expert in their field of choice?  Probably not. . . But the reality is... in our field is, The State of Texas requires zero artistic training and no other requirements other than to "purchase" a license, agrees to abide by the OSHA regulations and then anyone can hang a shingle saying you're in business.  And by the way, many of these business are rarely inspected. Legally, they can bypass the technician phase all together and just start training with little to no real life experience. Feel free to ask me how I know... lol

These days are sort of like a MODERN WILD WEST! So please don't get swept away by this Gold Rush! At first glance, everyone thinks this is so easy. So off they go to join a 2-3 day class. NEWS FLASH!  You cannot learn this craft in such a short period of time.

Don't pick your trainer based on flashy ads enticing  you with all the riches you can gain, with no regard to the level of talent required to actually perform exceptional work. (This person just hijacked the gravy train and when the money dries up, they will be long gone with the wind.)

What you get out of a course depends on where you go for training, and support - as well as your own advocacy! I do not support or offer two day training classes, without substantial support before and after the course. I think they are rip off and leave unsuspecting students bewildered and broken. Who's been there?

DO THE MATH...

There is no doubt that this field CAN help you create a more secure financial future. More importantly, you need to realize that you must possess SOME natural artistic talent, love for people, a mind for business (or good help in this area) and tons of INTEGRITY to keep things on the right track to actually make it in this field.

DO YOU "HAVE' TO BE AN ARTIST TO APPLY?

Not necessarily... I always say that you have to have some natural talent, but some people have repressed skills that can be uncovered... But for those who do possess artistic skill and an eye for symmetry, it will come easier and faster.  I've seen it all...  I've known artistic people who just can't move forward because they can't stand the sight of (a tiny little bit) of blood.  I've seen amazingly gifted people quit because they hit a few snags in the road. And I've seen LESS artistic people succeed out of sheer determination.  So, it's not up to ME, to decide who is the best candidate for training... YOU need to look inside and see what you're made of!

I CAN TELL YOU THIS...

This art form has provided me loads of satisfaction and pride, because I LOVE what I do, I care for people and I love to help others...  but it has taken lots of PRACTICE, PATIENCE, DILIGENCE, LOT'S OF HARD WORK AND LOT'S OF TIME TO PERFECT.  There was never a time that I wanted to quit becuase I KNEW there was nothing else that I could do better. So for me, it was easy to stick to my path.

There is lot's of competition...

Do you just have a desire to make more money or do you have a true calling for this type of work? There is a difference!  As time passes, the cream will rise to the top. Successful artists will survive and thrive through this current frenzy of new artists . . . while others will allow the frustrations and setbacks to cause them to eventually fade away. You have to wade through the trenches & pay your dues - so you better LOVE what you do! Exceptional artist will always have work!

On the flip side of all this, successful people do not become proficient by just graduating from a class. They excel by "DOING" THE WORK! The talented ones will experience a ton of joy and immeasurable gratification when you change someone's world - for the better! Those who are just in it for the money, will fade away.

Good luck in your quest!!
