This letter is to inform you, that we are cautiously taking new appointments for services. Please know that your safety and that of our own is so important to us! We will take all measures possible to help minimize the spread of COVID-19.
PLEASE READ THESE PAGES BEFORE YOUR APPOINTMENT DAY. . . THANK YOU!
No artist, can guarantee nor predict specific results! We can only give an educated guess based on our own experiences on the various skin types.
No two people are the same, so for this reason . . . there will be as many different outcomes as there are people! So for this reason, we like to play it SAFE!
There are many factors to consider prior to signing up, so please take the time to educate yourself before letting anyone tattoo YOUR FACE!
The success of any procedure relies on many variables to favorably merge, in order to produce one excellent result.
There is a very fine line between just enough and too much permanent makeup, and that line is different for each person, so this is a delicate process to balance, even for an experienced artist.
EACH SESSION IS CONSIDERED TO BE EXPERIMENTAL IN NATURE... meaning we can never know for sure, how much color YOUR skin will hold. So we prefer to go CONSERVATIVELY on round one, then build more as time goes by. This could mean that the healed results will be too light. But that's ok, because it's so better than some people ending up too dark. This is NOT a mistake, it's NOT a job half-done. This IS ME CARING for you.
By applying conservative amounts of color on round one, allows us to see how that color will heal in YOUR skin. Then, if adjustments need to be made, the corrections are small! Wouldn't you rather clean up a spill from a cup - rather that one from a 5 gallon bucket? I would too, so this is why I apply the same principal - TO YOUR FACE!
DO YOU NEED CORRECTIONAL WORK?Maybe your color is TOO DARK or POORLY shaped? We may be able to help you as SOME colors can be corrected by adding other shades to balance the color out. If this is you, PLEASE TEXT PHOTOS TO 713-443-8999 TO SEE IF WE CAN HELP! Be sure to include your name and what correction you are interested in.
REGARDING THE REMOVAL OR ADJUSTMENT OF COLOR... BY LAW, PERMANENT MAKEUP ARTISTS ARE NO LONGER ALLOWED TO PERFORM REMOVAL OF TATTOO COLOR, UNLESS THEY ARE WORKING UNDER THE DIRECTION OF A PHYSICIAN.
In some cases, we may be able to adjust your color without removal... however, if your needs are beyond our ability to help, we will ask you to seek out medical attention for the removal of color prior to your next application.
PLEASE Do your research to find out the effects of the following techniques, then choose whether you want:
LASER REMOVAL - Please call us for referrals
SALINE REMOVAL - Must find a technician who works under a physician.
Once fully healed from last removal session, you may book an appointment with us for a procedure.
We recommend a healing window of 12 weeks before starting a new procedure.
ARTISTIC SKILL REQUIRED
DON'T THINK ALL PROFESSIONALS ARE EQUALLY QUALIFIED.
Certificates are just a piece of paper and are mostly meaningless in this field since they can be obtained in a few days. The hours of PRACTICE the precedes and follows the class is what matters!
Also, a person who has been working for a long time could have more or less talent than someone who just entered the field. However, either may be more or less conscientious when it comes to sanitation. Find an artist that will provide both talent and protection. What good is great work if you contract a disesase?
GOOD ARTISTS understand that applying art in the skin, is not the same as applying it on paper or canvas. It takes a whole new level to get the art to heal into the skin to a degree where it looks real.
KEEP THIS IN MIND . . . When you are considering your options, if the person you choose as your artist is ONLY able to do MICROBLADING, this is a strong indicator that the person has less experience than one who knows machine work. This alone, does not mean anything other than since they are new, be sure to investigate the details further.
IN SOME CASES , IT MEANS... the technician may have only taken a 1-3 day course and threw a certificate on the wall, and you're about to be a guinea pig.
I know it's hard to believe, but our field is very loosely regulated! The only requirement BY LAW is that we buy a license from the state. The talent/skill of the artist is not regulated at all. Anyone can do it, or at least try.
If things go sideways (as it sometimes can) the new technicians may not know what to do to help alleviate a problem.
CLIENTS should heavily consider the odds when booking an appointment with under qualified technicians. Just because they did a good job on your friennd does not guarantee great results for you. Some people are easy to work on, others are more difficult. Do you know where YOU stand?
Talented Artists make this work look easy. New artists know... IT'S NOT!
BEFORE YOU BOOK AN APPOINTMENT . . .
IT'S IMPORTANT TO LEARN AS MUCH AS YOU CAN ABOUT THE COSMETIC TATTOOING PROCESS!
I UNDERSTAND THAT I MAY NEED MULTIPLE PROCEDURES.
I WILL NOT CONSIDERED MY WORK FINISHED UNTIL THE FOLLOW UP PROCESS IS COMPLETE.
I WILL BOOK MY FOLLOWUPS WITHIN SIX MONTHS OF MY INITIAL PROCEDURE TO MAKE SURE THE WORK IS COMPLETE.
I UNDERSTAND THAT FOLLOWUPS ARE NOT A QUICK TOUCH UP. THEY ARE THE NEXT SET OF LAYERS DESIGNED TO CREATE MORE REALISM IN THE ART.
I UNDERSTAND THAT I PLAY A ROLE IN THE SUCCESS OF MY PROCEDURE. I WILL PREPARE AHEAD OF TIME AS DIRECTED ON THE PLAN AHEAD PAGE.
I will start limiting and taking the recommended products, eat right, get rest and take your Arnica Montana (as directed on bottle) at least 1 week or two prior to ALL SESSIONS.
I WILL ALSO FOLLOW THE GUIDELINES ON THE AFTER CARE.
I UNDERSTAND THAT PERMETIKA BELEIVES THAT PERMANENT MAKEUP IS A BASE LINE DESIGNED TO LOOK GOOD WHEN I AM WEARING NO OTHER MAKEUP. I UNDERSTAND THAT IF I WANT MORE THAT, I SHOULD ASK IF IT IS RECOMMENDED.
I UNDERSTAND THAT MY PERMANENT MAKEUP CAN BE ENHANCED WITH TRADITIONAL MAKEUP TO VARYING DEGREES FOR DIFFERENT OCCASIONS.
I UNDERSTAND THAT EVEN THE MOST EXPERIENCED ARTIST MAY ENCOUNTER A PROBLEM IN THE SKIN OR SOME OTHER UNEXPECTED CHALLENGE AND THE WORK MAY NEED TO BE ADJUSTED IN SUBSEQUENT SESSIONS.
