Booking Policies

BOOKING POLICY:

Booking an APPOINTMENT or a CLASS with us requires a booking fee that buys your place on our calendar. Most of our appointments and classes require preparation time of approximately 2 weeks. During this time, no one else can book your spot. For this reason, the Booking Fees are NON-REFUNDABLE. This commitment also indicates to us that you understand the information provided on this site - and that you are committed to the process, appointment or class that you have scheduled.

CANCELLATIONS, NO SHOWS & LAST MINUTE CHANGES

IN AN ATTEMPT TO KEEP OUR SCHEDULE FLOWING HARMONIOUSLY, PAYMENT IS DUE IN FULL UPON BOOKING OF AN APPOINTMENT OR CLASS. A NON-REFUNDABLE BOOKING FEE of 25% is built into the procedure price. This is similar to a restocking fee and helps protect the efforts of the company when reserving our time for your procedure: 

 

IF YOU MUST CANCEL OR POSTPONE YOUR APPOINTMENT, PLEASE BE AWARE OF OUR CANCELLATION GUIDELINES AS FOLLOWS AS ONLY A PORTION OF THIS FEE WILL BE RETURNED ACCORDING TO THE FOLLOWING SCHEDULE:

  • 5+ DAY NOTICE . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 75% OF THE FEE WILL BE RETURNED.

  • Less than 5 Days Notice . . . . . . 25% OF THE FEE WILL BE RETURNED.

  • NO SHOWS & CANCELLATIONS WITH LESS THAN 5 DAYS NOTICE  . . . . . . . . . . . . . 100% OF THE FEE - IS FORFEITED​

  • IF YOUR BOOKING FEE IS FORFEITED, WE CAN START OVER BY BOOKING A NEW PROCEDURE WITH A NEW BOOKING FEE. 

  • WE UNDERSTAND THAT TRUE EMERGENCIES CAN HAPPEN, SO IF YOU CAN SUBMIT PROOF OF A LIFE ALTERING EVENT OR EXTREME ILLNESS,  YOUR BOOKING FEE WILL NOT BE FORFEITED AND WE WILL BE HAPPY TO WORK WITH YOU!

 

​APPOINTMENTS & CLASSES: 
  • APPOINTMENTS including changes, should be initiated by the client or student here on this website. This automated system ensures that bookings are created according to your schedule and there are no mistakes on our end.

  • For time efficiency purposes, appointments are billed at 100% at time of booking. ​

  • A 5 DAY NOTICE OF CANCELLATION is required to move your appointment.  NO EXCEPTIONS.  If a 5 day notice is not given, your booking fee will be forfeited due to the loss of an appointment and the fact that it is virtually impossible to fill and allow another client time to prepare.

  • If you are contagious or running a fever you will need to postpone your appointment.

  • If you are on antibiotics, you should postpone your appointment for a couple of weeks to allow the medication to leave your system.  Otherwise,  there is a possibility that the treatment will not heal with optimal results. The medication is fighting to rid your body of a bug... and it may see the pigment as a potential threat, even though it's not. 

WHEN CHOOSING A PROCEDURE

You do NOT have to predetermine which style of work you need. When you arrive, we will start paperwork and the numbing process. Approximately 30 minutes later we will discuss your options and your input will also be taken into consideration. Once we reach a decision, the procedure will begin.

RESCHEDULING: 
  • Appointments may be transferred to a new date.

  • A five (5) day notice is required to allow time to prepare for the person filling your spot.

  • You may change your appointment as often as you need to without informing our office.  

  • Do this by searching your email for your last appointment notification. There you will find a link to reset your appointment. As always, if you need help, please contact us through our website messaging system.

  • Booking any cosmetic procedure should NOT be taken lightly.  This process requires  thought and planning because it leans more toward surgery than a normal cosmetic procedure like hair, nails or lashes. 

  • BY BOOKING THIS APPOINTMENT, YOU AGREE  WITH OUR OUR "LESS IS BEST" CONCEPT  AND ARE WILLING TO RETURN FOR SUBSEQUENT FOLLOWUP SESSIONS TO COMPLETE THE WORK AND YOU UNDERSTAND OUR RECOMMENDATIONS AND POLICIES BELOW.  

  • We look forward to working with people who understand and agree with our LESS IS MORE approach. This means less work is done upfront to give us the opportunity to evaluate how things settle in on a small scale, then build toward your desired result over a period of a few months in subsequent perfecting sessions.

  • So don't be surprised if your work is too light. This is the case for most people.... This means almost no one is left with work that is too dark.  Doing this allows us to get "closer to perfection" without crossing that line of regret!  And please realize, that while YOU ARE IN GREAT HANDS HERE, absolute perfection does not exist. There will always be something to work on. You just have to be realistic about your expectations and choose not to be radical in your idea of perfection. Working in SKIN can be problematic at times, and your patience is required in order to achieve optimal (not perfect) results. ​

  • Appointments are set for a normal allotted amount of time. We allow appointments to run one hour over the allotted time because we understand this is your face  - and we want things to be as perfect as you do. However, if the appointment runs longer than one hour over the appiontment will be called to an end. If time allows, extra time beyond , will be billed at an additional $250 per hour.

STEP ONE: 

THE FASTEST WAY TO LET YOU KNOW THAT THERE HAS BEEN AN EMERGENCY ON OUR END

is to move your appointment to our next available opening.  This move will trigger a NEW confirmation to alert you that there has been a change in the schedule.  You will be notified of the change by  TEXT AND EMAIL

 

STEP TWO: 

IF ACCEPTABLE,  no further contact is necessary.

STEP THREE: 

IF UNACCEPTABLE, you may reset your appointment from the confirmation notice.

OUT OF TOWN TRAVELERS:

WHEN YOU BOOK AN APPOINTMENT TO TRAVEL TO HOUSTON,  it is clearly a greater risk if either of us encounter any unforeseen circumstances, including INCLEMENT WEATHER, ILLNESS, ACCIDENTS. We will do everything within our power to avoid such a situation. However, if anything at all, prevents us from performing your procedure, we will gladly reset your appointment , however we shall assume no financial responsibility for the appointment, travelers flight, food, hotel, car rental, insurances.  NO EXCEPTIONS - So we highly recommend that you purchase travel insurance to cover potential losses. 

PRE-CARE & AFTERCARE

is required (Read about taking Arnica Montana before your procedure date.)​

I know there is a lot of information to absorb, but it's worth the effort as there are inherent risks possible with every procedure... and this holds  true with every artist.

 

ARTISTRY is our strength! But even though our success rate is extremely high, but we still cannot completely control our canvas (your skin) .  Nothing is ever certain in a biological system, so you should plan on multiple treatments to build upon the work.

 

What can happen? Pigment rejection, allergic reactions and hyperpigmentation and keloid scarring may still occur, even after testing.  However, because of  conservative approach, we are able to greatly minimize such risks so that adjustments are easy to make.

REFUNDS:  All treatments are non-refundable once the work has been done. No exceptions...

You will need to be patient with the process and schedule your next visit:

  • If you feel that your initial treatment did not deliver satisfactory results, please remember that all skin is unique and holds color differently. For this reason, we apply our first session on the lighter side to test for color compatibility, before packing in too much color.

  • Adjustments will be made at your followup session, not before. THIS IS DONE FOR YOUR ULTIMATE SATISFACTION and takes patience on your part. If you would prefer the color to be too dark rather than too light, we may not be the right fit for you, as we are also concerned with our reputation as well.

 

TAXES: 
  • There is currently NO TAX on services in the state of Texas.

TRUE EMERGENCY SITUATIONS:

EXCEPTIONS:  IF A TRUE EMERGENCY SITUATION OCCURS, WE WILL TRY TO  WORK WITH YOU TO RESET YOUR APPOINTMENT WITH NO PENALTY. WE DO UNDERSTAND WHEN UNFORESEEN MEDICAL EMERGENCIES, CAR ACCIDENTS, OR A DEATH IN IN THE FAMILY MAY OCCUR AND WILL BE HAPPY TO HELP IN UNPREVENTABLE CIRCUMSTANCES. 

In these cases, the missed appointment mau be excused if proof of the event can be sent to our office phone.

  • Poor planning does not count. Our booking policies are geared toward preventing last minute cancellations or postponements.  So if you forgot your appointment, or your hair appointment is running late, etc... your booking fee will be forfeited.
