PERMANENT MAKEUP 101
THE BENEFITS OF PERMANENT MAKEUP...
can range from very personal, to time
expedient to just sheer convenience!

What are your ideas of how it could help you?  Would
you like to carve off a few minutes from your daily
routine? How about NOT losing your eyebrows in the
pool or fighting with smeared eyeliner or pale lips?
Maybe there is a scar in your brow that you would
rather not be noticed.

This page not only discusses reasons for electing
permanent makeup, it also is designed to educate
you on getting the best possible results.

Please read this entire page so that you will be able
to make an educated decision whether you want to
go forward with a procedure - or not.
  • Do you like to wear makeup... but hate to fuss
    with it throughout the day?

  • Do you have oily skin that absorbs your
    makeup?

  • Do you have sparse or non existent eyebrows
    or lashes?

  • Would you prefer to not be seen without
    makeup?

  • Does your lipstick creep up your lips onto your
    face?

  • Does your lipstick  vanish during your meal?

  • Do you have trouble applying your own makeup?

  • Would you enjoy having your makeup stay put
    during sports?

  • Would you like to go swimming without
    smeared eyeliner?

  • Are you allergic to traditional cosmetics?

  • Do you wear contacts or sensitive eyes?
  • Have you undergone  and areola reconstruction.

  • Would you like to redefine your facial features?

  • Were you born with lightly colored Areolas and
    would like them enhanced?

  • Have you lost hair due to ALOPECIA or
    CANCER TREATMENTS?

  • Do you have VITILIGO and has it been stabile
(non moving) for at least 7 years?

  • VISION IMPAIRED people who have difficulty
    applying their cosmetics.

  • MOTOR IMPAIRED people including those with
    Arthritis, Parkinson's Disease, Multiple
Sclerosis, Stroke Survivors, or anyone with
    unsteady hands.

  • Are you a man who has a brow scar... or sparse
brows or even no brows at all... Maybe you
would just like for your features to be slightly
enhanced without looking made up... It's
possible... Just give me a call to discuss the
    options open to you.
More reasons to choose Permanent Cosmetics:
 WHO'S NOT A CANDIDATE?

  • You may not be a
    candidate if you are
    diabetic. Unless you
    can get a written
    release from your
    doctor stating that you
    are able to undergo
    cosmetic tattooing.

  • You are absolutely not
    a candidate if you are
    pregnant.  Although
    there is no medical
    evidence that tattooing
    would have any affect
    on an unborn child, we
    don't know for sure. So
    we suggest you err on
    the side of caution and
    come back after the
    baby is born, and you
    are no longer nursing.

  • Better safe, than sorry!
WELCOME TO CLASS!!   It's time to put our thinking caps on and get some understanding
about cosmetic tattooing!  But I assure you, the time you spend absorbing the following
information will be very much worth the time invested!  If you have any questions along the
way, please feel free to call!

IN MY OPINION - THERE ARE SEVERAL KEY FACTORS IN RECEIVING GREAT WORK . . .
The basis for WHY I am writing this information can be found in the one comment that I have preached since I
started doing permanent cosmetics back in 2002!  That is, that
"PERMANENT MAKEUP IS A PROCESS!"  This
one statement is the cornerstone of success when planning your entire permanent cosmetic experience!!  But
what does it really mean?

First of all, let me state the obvious!  The definite elements that need to come together on my end are: An eye
for beauty, a steady hand, artistic expertise, quality equipment and a professional environment along with
experience and the ability to communicate and determine what "YOUR" idea of beauty is! On your end, there are
at least 4 definite keys to consider before taking the plunge into permanent cosmetics. You should be willing to
plan, educate yourself, and understand that all procedures are not created equal!  And finally, you should have
the patience to see the process through to the end!

Now, let me say that I'm not sure why people don't always "hear me" when I try to "explain" this process verbally.
I'm guessing that they are either too excited (or apprehensive) about the procedure to truly absorb what it means
when I say that there are just too many factors that go into creating great looking results.  Artistic skill and a
knack for creating beauty is not enough. And inevitably, when people actually experience this "truth" it normally
comes along with a certain amount of disappointment.  Just ONE great example of this, is that due to the
darkness of freshly applied pigment, and the resulting swelling - some of issues are not always apparent until
AFTER the skin has healed!  Other factors such as age, metabolism, health, skin tone and textures, medication,
aftercare, sleep patterns, exposure to heat and light...  can all have an adverse affect the outcome of your
procedure, to varying degrees, of course. This means that some people will have immediate, fantastic results -
while others will definitely need more attention and subsequent sessions to make the necessary adjustments.
The latter always comes with a certain amount of disappointment - which I think could (and should) be avoided if
at all possible.

EUREKA! ...in thinking this problem through, it finally dawned on me to actually start explaining my procedures in
greater detail in order to achieve understanding and then restructure my procedures according to what happens
naturally!  So, effective immediately, I will be putting a new structure into place and will start offering my clients a
different approach!  If you have not seen this information on other sites, its because this is an original idea. If it
doesn't catch on, then maybe there are some of these truths are easier to hide - than face!  I don't know...  So
read on, for more details on my new 3 Phase Process and why I've chosen to make some changes...
TRADITIONAL TATTOOS vs PERMANENT MAKEUP
Understanding the difference between the two will help in understanding why I approach Permanent Cosmetics differently than a
Tattoo Artist would approach Body Art.  Think for a moment about the nature of traditional tattoos. Most are done with very deliberate
lines, filled in with bright colors, and are more deeply embedded, with the intent of making a bold statement that lasts a lifetime!!
In
stark contrast, cosmetically oriented procedures typically use softer shades, which are normally selected to help conceal
certain skin flaws or to enhance your own natural beauty.
They can be applied more superficially in order to allow for faster fading
so that colors may be changed after a few years or you have the choice to go deeper and darker with the cosmetic colors if you
choose to!
Once proper shades are selected, the next trick to beautiful work is finding that delicate line between too light and too dark... and
realizing that "the line" is different for each person that I work on.  Because people are all so very different, there is no scientific
absolute that can be applied across the board. The means there is absolutely
NO WAY for me to guarantee or even determine the
specific results you are seeking. So the BEST service that I can provide - is to plan out a very conservative approach for each client
by breaking down each procedure into Three Phases.
Phase One provides the basic structure of the procedure and some detail
work if possible. Once healed,
Phase Two adds more fine detail. Both of these phases are mandatory in order for me to consider
my work to be complete.Of course, there is always a chance that the desired result will be achieved after the first session, and it
often does - however Phase Two helps "set" the look and makes it last longer. It is often a toss up whether
Phase Three  will even
needed or not. But is better to plan toward it - than not.  (Further detail about each phase can be found below...)
