WHEN YOU LEAVE...
1. APPLY ICE PACK as soon as possible to
reduce swelling and help preserve the
color. A bag of frozen peas covered with
paper towels works great. But never apply
ice longer than 10-15 minutes, and only
once per hour. Prolonged exposure to ice
could result in tissue damage.
2. TRY NOT TO SMOKE for at least 2-3 days
if possible, but the longer - the better.
Especially if you have had a lip procedure!
3. CLEANSE with a mild antibacterial
cleanser using cool water. Once in the
morning. Once at night. ...and cleanse
again, if area becomes contaminated!
REPEAT: When Washing or Showering...
do not allow tattooed area to remain in
contact with water for longer than what is
necessary to cleanse and rinse off.
Allowing the areas to become water logged
can have a negative affect the final result.
Make sure the cleanser does not have any
exfoliants or skin lighteners.
4. APPLY OINTMENT Sparingly! Once
clean, gently pat dry with a "clean paper
towel". Be very careful on the tattooed area
until it's had time to dry. Then apply a paper
thin layer of ointment. . This will help
prevent bacteria from settling into the
wound and will be thin enough to allow the
skin to breath and heal well. Use
AQUAPHOR. (Aquaphor is available at any
grocery store and is one of the best
ointments you can use.) This will also help
reduce the any discomfort caused by
tugging against the skin. Keep areas
protected with ointment 24/7 for at least a
week. Longer if additional healing time is
required.
5. HANDS OFF! Besides introducing
bacteria into the open area which could
cause an infection, you should never
attempt to pick, pull, roll or remove dead
skin in any way. Let it heal off naturally to
preserve maximum color. If necessary, you
can use "sterilized" cuticle clippers to gently
remove any dead skin that may be
bothering you.. but do so carefully as not to
tug on live tissue. This sort of thing can
cause the ink to fleck off; resulting in a
splotchy tattoo after the redness has gone
down.
6. No dirty work. Lawn mowing and the like
can wait until outer healing is complete,
which normally occurs within 4-5 days.
7. WAIT... and watch. As you heal, you will
notice a flaking off of the outer layers of the
pigment. This is normal and will result in
soft beautiful color at the end of about a
week!
SO NOW YOU'RE ALL DONE... YIKES!
Your face is red, swollen, very bright and you're
probably a bit nervous over what you've done...
Relax... These are all very normal reactions.
Everything always look much darker and much
more sharply defined than it will after healing is
complete. So for now, just relax, and read a good
book. Soon, the redness and swelling will
subside and within a week the dark makeup
gives way to soft natural beauty!
Pretty soon, you will be reminded why you wanted
permanent makeup in the first place... and it will
all be worth the wait!
But for now, you have to learn about aftercare --
that is, of course, if you intend on keeping it
looking beautiful. So read on for what to do...
Don't keep us A SECRET! Word of mouth is the best and most appreciated referral.
THANK YOU!

SWELLING...
- Very insignificant
swelling occurs with
permanent eyebrows.
- Mild to moderate
swelling occurs with
permanent eyeliner.
- Lips swell more than
other procedures.
- Arnica Montana and
Bromelain may
reduce swelling.
TIPS FOR ULTIMATE RESULTS...
As you heal, keep contact with WATER and SUN
to an absolute minimum during the healing
period of 7 days. Short showers using cool to
luke warm water is a good idea. You want to
keep the area clean and you will need to rinse
away any residue that forms after the procedure,
but take care not to expose to prolonged
exposure to water. Hot steamy baths and
swimming - especially in chlorinated pools -- is a
very bad idea.
Use sunscreen -- DAILY once the area is healed.
There are many great choices now for facial use.
Lip balms with natural emollients and sunscreen
in them is recommended.
Also, be sure to check your tattoo for infection.
Even with the precautions we have taken, it is still
important to make sure your skin is healing
properly. In many cases, if after a few days, the
sensitivity of the tattoo has gotten worse and not
better, or the skin remains tender to the touch, it
might be a good idea to go have a doctor look at
it for you.
All in all, taking care of your tattoo isn't much to
ask. After spending all that time and money on
the design, taking care of it is really the least
you can do for yourself.

After Care for CIT PROCEDURES
|
- After the procedure, a thin coat of Aquaphor will
be applied to the treated area. Be sure to keep
applying Aquaphor for the next 24-48 hours as
a barrier to bacteria and to help speed healing.
- Wash the area several times a day with a
gentle cleanser and re-apply Aquaphor after
each wash.
- The treated area will appear red/dark pink for
the first 24-48 hrs. Each day thereafter, the
area will start to darken to a brownish shade,
and then will start to exfoliate off naturally.
- After 48-72 hours you can start wearing your
makeup and using your anti-aging creams
again. Vitamin C, A or E and Collagen
producing products will only add to the results
and expedite the healing process.
- You will continue to see results for months
after just one procedure.
- If subsequent procedures are desired, they
can be performed in as little as 4-6 weeks...for
optimal results.
YEA... It's over! Now what?
